Two mirrors, honest light and someone who will tell you when a size is wrong. That is the whole idea.

The light is the point

Most fitting rooms are lit from directly overhead, which flatters nothing and hides everything. Ours are lit from the front at head height, the way a window lights you. Clothes look in the room the way they will look in the street.

Two mirrors, set at an angle

You cannot judge a jacket you have only seen from the front. The second mirror is angled at thirty degrees so the back of the shoulder is visible without contorting.

The tailor is in on Tuesdays

Sleeve and hem alterations are free on anything bought the same day, and charged at cost after that. Most take twenty minutes; a jacket sleeve takes two days because it has to be done from the shoulder to keep the buttons right.

Fitting appointments can be booked by telephone for the same day. There is no charge and no obligation to buy anything.
