Gift Cards, and Booking for Someone Else

Spa products arranged on a stone tray

Booking a treatment for someone else is a lovely thing to do and surprisingly easy to get slightly wrong. A few notes from the desk.

Give a value, not a treatment

Unless you know exactly what they want, a gift card for an amount is kinder than a named session. It lets them pick the treatment, the therapist and the length, and it removes the awkwardness of swapping something you chose for them.

Cards are valid for twelve months, can be topped up towards something longer, and can be spent on treatments, classes or anything on the shop shelf.

If you do want to book the appointment

  • Leave the date open where you can: a fixed slot in somebody else’s diary is a gamble.
  • Tell us it is a gift so we do not send confirmation emails to the wrong person.
  • Let us know anything relevant about them: a preference for lighter pressure, a fragrance they dislike, an area to avoid.

On the day

They should arrive ten minutes early like anyone else, and they do not need to bring the card itself: the reference is enough, and we can find it by name if the reference has been lost.

If they would rather come with someone, both of our treatment rooms can be booked at the same time, and the lounge is quite happy to hold a friend with a pot of tea for an hour.
