What an Ambassador Does
Our ambassadors are not paid to post. They are paid to take prototypes somewhere unreasonable and tell us, in writing, exactly what failed. Most of what you see in a Wildroot product started as a complaint from this group.
Marcus Reed carried the first Summit Dome prototype for two seasons on the Pacific Crest Trail. Sophie Henriksen loaded the Ridge Runner frame past its rated weight in the Adirondacks until something gave. Jake Oduya put the Ironbark through seven river fords on the Colorado Trail.
Applying
We take on two or three new ambassadors a year. We are not looking for an audience. We are looking for people who spend a lot of nights out, who are hard on equipment, and who can describe a failure precisely.
Applications open every January. Write to the field team through the contact details in our newsletter and tell us what you broke last season.
