About this Project
A long-form editorial commission that ran across six issues. Each piece takes a single piece of security hardware (a gate, a bolt, a chain) and renders it at a scale that makes the viewer reconsider what it is actually protecting.
The line work is entirely hand-drawn and then rebuilt as vectors, so the same artwork carries a magazine spread and a pin badge without redrawing. The series won its category at two regional awards and has since been licensed for a book jacket.
