A Landmark on the Chicago Skyline

The Atmosphere reimagines the mixed-use tower as a vertical neighborhood. Rising above the Chicago waterfront, its faceted glass envelope was engineered to cut solar gain while flooding every floor with daylight, and a reinforced concrete core lets the upper terraces cantilever out over the street below.

Our crews sequenced the build around a tight downtown site, pouring more than eleven thousand cubic yards of concrete on a just-in-time schedule to keep the surrounding avenues open. The result is a tower that pairs premium office space with sky gardens, wellness suites and a public plaza at grade.
