A Home That Breathes with the Tropics
Set among the rice terraces of Bali, Greenhouse Garden is a private residence designed to disappear into its landscape. Deep overhangs, cross ventilation and a planted roof keep the interior comfortable without air conditioning for most of the year.
The palette is deliberately low carbon: locally sawn hardwood, rammed earth walls and recycled volcanic stone. Rainwater is harvested from the roof into a reflecting pool that cools the courtyard and feeds the surrounding gardens through the dry season.
