Privacy Policy
What we collect when you rent a bike, why we need it, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted.
What We Collect
To rent you a bike we need a name, an email address, a phone number and a payment card. If you ask for door to door delivery we also need the address you want the bike brought to and collected from.
Our website sets a session cookie so your basket survives a page reload, and an analytics cookie that tells us which pages people actually read. Neither is used to build a profile of you.
Why We Need It
The contact details let us reach you if a bike is delayed, damaged or overdue. The card is held against the value of the bike while it is out with you and released when it comes back. The delivery address is used once and then archived with the booking.
How Long We Keep It
Booking records are kept for six years, because tax law requires it. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. Analytics data is aggregated after ninety days and can no longer be traced back to a person.
Who Else Sees It
Our payment processor sees the card details; we never store them. Our insurer sees a booking reference and a date if a claim is made. Nobody else receives your data, and we do not sell it.
Your Rights
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it once any live booking has closed. Email the workshop and we will action it within thirty days.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will email everyone with an active booking or an open marketing consent before the change takes effect.
