Light Brown Goat Jar

A footed jar in pale brown clay, modelled on the shape herders carried milk in for centuries: a heavy base, a narrow neck and two lugs at the shoulder for a cord.

Thrown, then paddled by hand to flatten the belly slightly so it sits against a wall without rolling. Fired to stoneware temperature, so it is frost hardy and can stay outdoors.
