A studio of four potters, one kiln and three clay bodies. We have been making the same shapes for eleven years and improving them the whole time.

The old culture, kept at the table

We learned these shapes from potters who learned them from potters. The jars on this site are the ones that kept being made, because they were the ones people kept using.

Nothing in the studio is automated. The wheel is a wheel, the kiln is packed by hand and the glaze is mixed in the same buckets it has been mixed in since we opened. That is slower, and it is the whole point.
