These terms cover your use of this website and any donation, application or message you send through it. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.

Using This Site

You may read, print and share anything published here for personal or educational use. Please credit us and do not present our material as your own.

You may not use this site to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content, to attempt to gain access to systems you are not entitled to reach, or to collect personal information about other users.

Donations

A donation is a gift, not a purchase, and is not refundable once the funds have been disbursed to a program. If you make a mistake (a wrong amount, a duplicate gift, an unintended recurring donation), tell us within thirty days and we will put it right.

Where you direct a gift to a named cause we will apply it to that cause. If that cause reaches its goal or closes, we will move the remainder to the closest active program and tell you that we have done so.

Recurring donations continue until you stop them. You can stop one at any time by writing to us; no reason is needed.

Volunteering

Submitting an application does not create a contract of employment or a guarantee of a placement. Roles that involve contact with children or vulnerable adults require the relevant checks before you can begin.

Accuracy of Content

We work hard to keep program figures, goals and totals current, and we publish audited accounts annually. Figures shown between audits are our best available records and may be adjusted.

Intellectual Property

Photographs, written material and the design of this site belong to us or to the photographers and writers who licensed them to us. Please ask before reproducing them commercially.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the law or our programs change. The version published here is always the one that applies, and material changes are announced in the quarterly report.
