Scheduled links, and the launch week that runs itself

DJ Nova, Musician

The week of a launch is the week you have the least attention to spare. Scheduling is how you spend that attention somewhere else.

Set it up the week before

Write the block, set its open and close times, and preview the page at each of them. The block simply appears and disappears on schedule.

Groups can be scheduled too, so a whole tour section can arrive on announcement day and retire the morning after the last date.

Leave a landing place behind

When a launch block retires, the traffic that was heading there does not stop immediately. Point the retired block at an evergreen page rather than removing it outright.

A short recap post is enough. It keeps the last of the traffic and it gives the next launch something to link back to.

Set it up once and the launch week stops needing you at midnight.
