What we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
Insurance needs more personal data than most products. This page says exactly which parts and what happens to them.
What we collect
Contact details, the answers you give in a quote or claim, payment details, and the technical information your browser sends. For medical and travel cover we also collect the health information you declare.
Why we collect it
To price a policy, to issue and administer it, to assess claims, to meet our regulatory obligations, and to detect fraud. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who sees it
Our own staff, the underwriters who carry the risk, the loss adjusters assigned to a claim, and the payment processor. Each of them sees only the part they need.
How long we keep it
Policy and claims records are kept for seven years after the policy ends, which is the period our regulator requires. Quote data that never became a policy is deleted after twelve months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep. Requests are answered within thirty days at no charge.
