How we Record a Two-Guest Episode
Two microphones, one room and a running order that leaves space for the conversation to wander.
A two-guest episode is a different animal. Someone always talks over someone else, and the fix is not a louder microphone: it is a running order that tells everybody when their turn is coming.
We record each guest on their own track, keep the room quieter than feels necessary, and leave the first four minutes as warm-up that never makes the edit.
