Water trays, dough, bells, mirrors and light boxes give small hands something to think with. Sensory play builds the pathways that later carry reading, counting and problem solving, and it does it while children are simply enjoying themselves.
Teachers watch closely and step in only to extend an idea, so the discovery stays the child's own. Parents receive a short weekly note describing what their child chose and what grew out of it.
