The questions every parent asks.

The first week is short and shared. Day one is an hour with you in the room, and by day four most children stay for the morning on their own. We never rush it: the pace is set by your child, and the teacher tells you honestly how the day went.

Breakfast, a hot lunch and an afternoon snack, all cooked in our own kitchen and posted on the board each Monday. Allergies and family diets are recorded on the child’s file and checked at every service.

Under-threes have a quiet room with their own mat and blanket; older children have a rest period with books and low light. Nobody is ever made to sleep, and nobody is ever woken.

A change of clothes, indoor shoes, a sun hat and a coat that is allowed to get muddy. We supply nappies, wipes, bedding and every art material. Please label everything; small people are excellent at swapping shoes.

Between eight and twenty depending on the age group, with one teacher to four children in the Toddler room and one to ten in Pre-Kindergarten. The full ratio for each room is on its program page.

Fees run from $320 to $430 a month by age group and include all meals, materials, outings within the city and the settling-in week. There is no registration fee and no notice period beyond a calendar month.
