This week: three companies quietly shipped a CMS, the analytics backlash finds a business model, and a short note on why your archive page matters more than your homepage.<\/p><section class=\"issue-section\"><div class=\"issue-kicker\">The big one<\/div><h3 class=\"mb-3 wp-block-heading\">Three companies shipped a CMS this week and none of them called it that<\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A note taking app, a design tool, and a customer support platform all launched public publishing features in the same fortnight. None used the word &#8220;blog&#8221; in the announcement. All three shipped custom domains, RSS, and an email sending path on day one.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The interesting part is not the feature. It is that publishing has become a table stakes retention mechanism: if your users are already writing inside your product, letting them publish is cheaper than watching them export to something else.
